Justin Gosling replied over 3 years agoInternet connection can be hit and miss on Koh Tao. There are plenty of internet cafes but if you want wifi you need to find one of the cafes or restaurants that have a connection.
One of the most popular is Cafe Del Sol in Mai Hat. As long as you're a customer, the service is free. It does get quite busy so best to avoid peak times if you don't want a slow service.
There's also something called Turtle wifi where you buy top up cards on a pay as you go basis. But you still need to be in range of a signal.
Generally Mai Hat is the place to go if you need wifi.
