Salluhallen is an interesting and colourful small covered market, with fish, candies, meat, etc. located on the main street - Avenyn.

The major shopping mall in the center is the Nordstan - just next to the railway station and in the very center of the city.

For shopping antiques and nice cute small things, the best place is the Nygata street at Haga district.

Otherwise, the whole area between the Avenyn street and the Haga district is a shopping area.

Haga and Andra Långgatan is probably the best shopping area if you want to get away from the big brands and see smaller shops with different items. Haga and Linnégatan is an area full of cafés , restaurants and bars as well which are a perfect match with a day's shopping. Magasinsgatan and Vallgatan are also two really good streets for interior design and more genuine shops.
