Hakan Nyberg replied over 2 years agoIt's like letting a Corbusier drawing crash into an old mansion from 1890. I stayed in the 'old' part, was not overly impressed by the design but very pleased with the staff. A young guy named Rui is spreading good vibrations everywhere he go. Also, the view from the terrace is fantastic, especially combined with breakfast. See/read more here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=607

Hakan Nyberg replied over 2 years agoFantastic building, very secluded and a beautiful courtyard, but... they actually need a whole new approach to how to take care of their guests. See more and read more here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=604

Hakan Nyberg replied over 2 years ago14 rooms inside the Castelo de São Jorge, no restaurant, although the breakfast buffet is stellar, pretty comfy rooms. Lacking a little bit in terms of service. If arriving by cab, (recommended as private cars are not allowed inside the castle), insist that the driver will drive you to the door. Images and review right here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=605

Hakan Nyberg replied over 2 years agoA favourite! This is an art déco dream, (if you dream about déco, that is). Always rated high on TripAdvisor and there are good reasons for it. The staff is simply fantastic. The hotel in Lisbon that I'm most happy to recommend – and it comes with a reasonable price tag. Read more here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=608

Meike Sprecher replied over 2 years agoNot a place to recommend. It was loud, and although it looked clean on first sight, there were hair all over the sheets. My locker was broken. The bathroom was small, the door couldn't be closed all the way, the toilets were right next to the showers and way too small.

Dormain Geyer Drewitz replied about 1 year agoGreat location and great service. Luis truly hosts his guests, chatting with us about our plans for the day at breakfast and offering suggestions for dinner, drinks, and fado. He gave us a cell phone from which to call him anytime and checked in on us. Breakfast is a delicious and filling meal. Book early as it fills up.
