Thomas Barthelet replied over 4 years agoAuschwitz
If you want to go to Auschwitz from Krakow (which I strongly recommend you), you should use the local bus transportation system. For less than 10zl and after 2 hours of transport through the Polish countryside, you will arrive at Auschwitz Museum.

Heidi Harman replied over 4 years agoKazimiers is an old jewisz area that has gone through a genrtrification process and is a vibrant creative area, with lots of cafees and bars, filled with Cracow creatives. Try bar Kolory on the Kazimiers main square, or original bar Alchemia on the corner of the main square. Nazdrowie!

Adrian Tałocha replied over 2 years agoTry Auschwitz and Wieliczka Salt Mine, now available as 1 day tour. More to see in limited time, for great price. Check www.YourKrakowTours.com for price.
For Old Town, Kazimierz and Podgórze with Schindler's factory sightseeing I suggest using electric cart Melex (golf cart) with audio system in 2 hours you'll see most important places and save your feet, www.abcitytour.pl is the company I used when my parents came to visit.
Best regards and have a nice stay in Krakow Adrian

Stas Stanuch replied over 2 years agoTry to visit Nowa Huta, the new city build by communist just after 2WW. There's only 2 similar citys in the world: Magnitogors in Russia and one city in Germany (sorry, I forgot the name). I think that the best solution to visit Nowa Huta will'be to take a car-guide. There're a few company with old DDR-style Trabi, offering such guides.
