Where's good to stay in Manila?

  The Renaissance is no longer -- the building has been sold to the New World group of hotels. The new management isn't doing a better job and the rooms are still in terrible condition. The showers need a scrub down and the carpets need shampooing. Service seems slower.

  I wouldn't recommend it.
