Deluxe Cafe on Kent Terrace - caters for vegetarians, meat-eaters, gluten-free. Great food. Great coffee. Same people that run Maranui Surf Club in Lyall Bay

As a 25 year Wellingtonian, I think Courtenay Place is the best place to head for a rumbling tum. You can find anything to cater for your needs from Turkish kebabs to revolving sushi to cheap Indian and Malaysian and every other sort of thing too. My favourite place is Cha, at 37 Courtenay Place. It features Taiwanese food, mains are $10 - $15, they are fast and they have bubble tea! Their blueberry tea (hot or cold) is fantastic!
