You can take the tram from downtown to Ljan. http://www.graakallbanen.no/ Walk or ski to Studenterhytta apx. 5 km http://www.ntnui.no/hytta/index.php?lang=en and then grab a beer and a free sauna there, before you take the bus downtown again! Total expense for this is 2 x 30 kroner for tram and bus, and 40 kroner for the beer!
