Thomas Bøhm replied over 4 years agoStay in private homes
Especially during summer many people in Bergen notify the Tourist Information Office if they have available rooms for hire. Then, if you´re lucky, you can stay up in the hillside in cosy small wooden houses with just a short cable car ride down to the centre of the city.

Jill Walker Rettberg replied over 4 years agoFor our wedding we had lots of overseas guests. A couple of people stayed at Park Pension (up the hill by the university) - one had a great room, the other a really small room. Some rented apartments found through http://www.visitbergen.com/ and were happy. Most stayed at Hotel Terminus where the party was and that was good too. A family with two kids (3 and 5) stayed at Jacob's Apartments, and were very happy, particularly enjoying the friendly café downstairs.
