"Open" - Great lunchroom

Tucked away in a side street of Oude Binnenweg, this souterrain has great coffee, subs and other assorted food. Nice decoration and crowd as well.

Panini to go

Panini is a centrally located shack where they sell the best Italian rolls. A lot of choice and great value.

De Witte Aap

Small cosy and original bar "The White Monkey" in Rotterdam´s Witte de With Straat where museums, galleries and nice stores are located. If you go there on your own, you can be sure to get involved in a chat with anybody – or the barkeeper.

Urban Espresso Bar

Great coffee, sandwiches, pastry, etc. Also have art/films/poetry in the basement.

Rotown

Rotown is a great bar, but a less interesting place to eat. But it's also a pop podium where you can watch small upcoming bands for great value. A great place to spend a nice evening.

Amazing Indian food. The best I have ever had. The vindaloo is very spicy but it must be tried at least once. The naan is the best I've ever had and the "ghost" goat dish is exceptional. The atmosphere is modern and usually quite busy especially on the weekends so reservations are best.

A great place to have dinner, but on Friday/Saturday it's a good place just to have a drink too.

It's in the 'Kralingse bos' (forest of Kralingen) and you can enjoy your white wine with your feet in the Kralingen lake. There are some places just a metre from the lake! In summer, that's great! You can have a good dinner there too, but I most like this place for its location and the beautiful view on the Rotterdam skyline.

Lof Der Zoetheid is heerlijk als je een afternoon tea (High Tea) of een lunch wilt. ALLES is zelf gemaakt van de bonbons tot de broodjes en het beleg. De aankleding van de zaak is ingericht door een van de medewerksters (tevens ook de dochter). Het doet je denken aan een Russisch natuurkunde lokaal uit de jaren '70 met maatbekers, oude tafellampen, houten klapstoelen en ze draaien oude langspeelplaten. De dames die er werken zijn heel erg lief en je merkt dat ze het met veel hart voor de zaak doen.
