Walks out in the fields are highly recommended. In the direction of the town of Laren you will encounter a nice establisment called 'Het Bluk' were they serve nice hot chocolat accompagnied with a nice view. If the weather is not so good you could try shopping in the city center, offering a diversity of shops and nice little bars.
