While you might not expect it from a museum Twentse Welle is a great place to go with kids (even very young ones, like our 2 years old). It's a noise-friendly place that has lots of things to interact with - like an old farm hourse to walk into or prehistoric fossils to touch. Make sure you try to open drawers and touch buttons...

The only issue is that there is no info in English (only Dutch and German), so with some things you'll have to guess.
