Eindhoven, Netherlands + Add a trip

A very nice place to go is the Historic Open Air Museum. It shows furnished houses, living history, tooling, etc. of the iron age and the middle ages. In summer it is open all week round, in winter on Sunday afternoon only. In teh holiday period there are nice special activities for kids.

Van Abbe Museum - 'smaller' dutch cities like Eindhoven often have surprisingly good modern arts museums. The Van Abbe is one of them. they have an interesting collection, and their exhibits are interesting too. I even take people there who are not necessarily into modern arts...

Last weekend I went to the "Heartland" exhibition, which is about life in the heartland of the USA. Interesting, fun and several exhibits also show the curators have a good sense of humour.
