Razif Rashid replied over 4 years agoFor a variety of cheap products and many replica branded goods, Petling Street, or China Town is definitely the place to go. However, be prepared to buy if you start to bargain. I have had experience of some stall owners getting very upset if the are made to negotiate the price without a sale at the end.
If you are more an upscale shopper, places like KLCC Suria, Midvalley Megamall and Berjaya Times Square offer a vast variety of shops, both branded and otherwise.

Alex M replied over 4 years agoThe nicest market is definitely the Chow Kit market, where locals (and hotel chefs) buy their groceries. Walking through between the stalls makes you feel pretty "non-touristy", since nobody will try to "pressure-sell" you something.
Getting there is easy too, simply take the "Chow Kit" monorail stop.
