There are several restaurant chains in Mexico that will provide you with food for next to nothing like vips and in the Monterrey metropolitan area there are also several franchises from the us like Carl's Jr.

Food in Mexico is cheap compared to Europe, north America and some places in Asia, don't worry it is feasible to have a proper meal for under 10USD per individual.
