It's a beautiful old city with a lot of places to eat or have a relaxing drink in its squares, and a good place to base yourself while using the generally excellent local bus service (or a rented car) to explore the other pretty towns in the Boka Kotorska bay.

You can also get a really great view of the city and the bay by climbing up the old fortifications.
