Frank Thinnes replied over 4 years agoWhen in Luxembourg City, you might also explore the Grand Duché, for example the lovely Moselle valley or the "wild north" of the country. Or you might travel to see the neighbouring regions in France, Germany and Belgium - it's all very close and the cultural diversity is extremly rich and inspiring. You can easily visit 3 or even 4 countries in one day. The most interesting cities nearby are Metz (France, beautiful gothic cathedral, french cuisine and esprit), Trier (Germany, oldest city of Germany, impressive roman ruins, half-timbered houses, a pink rokoko palace, ...), Saarbrücken (Germany, best nightlife in the greater region, young crowd, impressive industrial world heritage) - or you just hike through the Ardennes mountain in Belgium! Check out the cultural portal of this so called "Greater Region" and search for events or places to see: www.plurio.net
