Lotte World is like a small city with an amusement park, folk museum, sports center (including a skating rink and pool/water slide park), shopping center, and hotel. Most facilities are indoors, so they can be enjoyed throughout the year. The central area is open, so that several levels of people can watch the other people ice skating, enjoying the rides, eating, and shopping.

It's where you can enjoy the metropolitan city life. Lots of famous restaurants, bars, coffee shops, you name it.

There is plenty to see and do at one of Seoul's tallest skyscrapers.

A trip to the observation deck is well worth the entrance fee, but make to go when the skies are clear. On a good day you can see out to Incheon airport.

There is an aquarium in the basement, the penguins are the popular and plenty of fish to see. [However you will probably see more fish at the Noryangjin fish market just a few minutes drive away ]

The Food court is not the best, there aren't that many choices and it was mostly fast food style, but the buffet is supposed to be one of the best in town. It's open for lunch then re-opens in the evening for dinner.

There is also an IMAX cinema.

A bit expensive, but worth it, I think. The set up is like a meandering trail through the Amazon for most of it, then there is a neat sitting area where you can look at a huge wall of sharks, rays and turtles. There is also a moving path that takes you under the same large tank to see the fish swim over you. It takes about an hour and a half/two hours to go through w/ a two year old (small attention span). It is typically very crowded, even during the week with school field trips, but if you get there right at opening time (10 AM) you practically have the place to yourself. We have been twice now and plan on going again while stationed here. One of the more kid oriented aquariums I've been to, as there are discovery type exhibits throughout.

This museum aims to promote the importance of pottery in relation to Koreans' lives, both past and present. It serves to spread the use of pottery in today's society. There are three exhibition halls: Earthenware Hall with more than 1,000 pieces, Folk Living Tools Hall with more than 2,000 pieces, and Farming Tools Hall with more than 100 pieces. To thoroughly look at all the artifacts takes from 60-90 minutes. The museum also publishes books about ceramics and provides pottery courses for students.

Wow, what a hotel - this is truley a lifestyle hotel with design and service blending wonderfully together. The lobby (livingroom they call it) is wonderful and full of life. The rooms are great, my room had a round bed and round bathtub.

    Great experience.

FYI : There is a casino attached to the hotel.
