Almost all hotels offer free internet connection, many cafes and restaurants fo the same. Free internet was also available in KINTEX (which is a huge exhibition center outside Seoul)

While cheap & fast broadband is pretty common in Seoul, wi-fi still isn't something you expect to find everywhere. Many locals access the net via the telephone network when they are on the move.

It is starting to turn up in coffee shops however, but availability is not very consistent. From experience, I get a connection in about 1 out of 3 Coffee Bean stores. Otherwise, if you are anywhere near a residential apartment block or an "officetel", there is a chance that you can pick up a connection from the street.

The basement floor of the Samsung D'light room in Gangname Gu offers free wifi and has couple of laptops for free use.
