Yaya centre is good, Westgate in Westlands is very fancy, and Village Market is snobby expensive.

Eastleigh have good markets, as have Gikomba (there are plenty of matatus and buses for both from town). A bit out, but a good, big market is Kangemi. City Centre is compact and can be explored by foot in half a day. The River Road area in eastern part of the city centre has nice shopping but can be a bit shady, so watch your valuables.
