Gonpachi @ Nishi-Azabu crossing ... it's very foreigner-friendly, it's very tasty (tebasaki (grilled chicken wings), spinach salad, wasabi gamo (grilled duck), etc.), and has memorable ambiance (setting inspired Kill Bill, Koizumi hosted president Bush here, etc.), and lively atmosphere, and is not hyper expensive (but is not cheap either), and it's open very, very late.

    Can't go wrong.

    How about Japanese food "Kushiage"?

Kushiage is the food to fly up a raw fish, meat, vegetable and so on. You can eat with special sauce or salt. Very simple and tasteful !

My recommendation is Hantei restaurant in Nezu-station. http://www.hantei.co.jp/

Sushizanmai in Tsukiji. Located near the Tsukiji Fish market the restaurant is used to catering to foreigners and has some of the freshest seafood around. There are other locations as well but this is my favorite.

I always take guests to a kaiten sushi place (100 yen sushi if budgets are tight). It's very Japanese and guests can eat as much or as little as they like. It's nice to have the choice after a long trip.

Tokyo is the city with the highest density of restaurants that I have ever seen. It is also very big. So depending on where you are the place to go will be different. One good thing is that you never have to go far to find a good restaurant of any kind.

Personally I like a good city view, so I can recommend any of the sky-scraper hotels (Tokyo Dome, Okura, ...) where you get good food plus a stunning view of Tokyo.

If I have a business guest that has been to Japan a number of times, I like to take them to witness the really nice fusion of great food and lifestyle in Tokyo. Rather than the standard sushi routine they are used to going to, I prefer to take them to the lively Italian place that has lots of good food, lively conversation, and some good wine. So, if they are staying anywhere close to Shibuya, Nishi Azabu, Roppongi, I will take them to Mario i sentieri.

I love Japanese food, especially Gohan (rice) with curry but I would like to know about food of Chile. Last year I went to Chile but didn’t explore its eateries. There I tried out other activities like fly fishing, boating, etc. You can also enjoy its picturesque views over here: http://www.ekoventure.com/trips/south_america-chile-porto_raul_marin_balmaceda-fly_fishing-boat_charters-exploration-active_sport-fundo-los-leones-15286
