I had really nice Italian cuisine here! The outside appearance of the restraurant is Japanese traditional machiya-style with good atomosphere.

A really cool café is the Café Indépendants (also listed in the Lonely Planet-guide). Hangout place for cool people plus a really alternative record store next door with japanese noice, electronica and jazz music. Located downstairs in the cellar under some art galleries, but very easily found. They serve coffee, sweet stuff, drinks and food.
