If you plan to stay in Japan, I suggest to check for this chain of hotels APA. They provide good rooms at low prices and with great comfort such as onsen in it.
I stayed in APA Villa Hotel in Osaka and it is very good. I booked it calling via Skype.

Walking over from arrivals is a breeze.

Plenty of options for eating at the food court nearby though most will tend to close by 22:00.
