Cheap 1-star hotel ideal for couples and families with children who will find here the typical Venetian atmosphere of a private establishment. It is personally managed by a friendly family who takes care of all details of the Locanda. Rooms are found within an ancient Venetian building located in a picturesque small square with a beautiful view on a wide canal, and on the island of San Pietro di Castello, with the Cathedral of the same name.

I think the best Bed and Breakfast in old Venice is B&B Ancient Venice. It's in the heart of ancient Venice very close to all the most important monuments as San Marco,Rialto bridge,Accademia,Frari,Guggenheim...In Venice it's really better to stay in a B&B than a Hotel

Clean sheets and a roof over your head. We were on the top floor which didn't look as good as the rest of it.

No lift so be ready to walk up the stairs if need be (4 flights to the top).

Breakfast was adequate. Croissants and so on. Chef had definitely opened the tin for the fruit salad. :-)

The staff are friendly and will look after you.
