Emanuele Dal Carlo replied over 2 years agoIf you have to shop for food and you want the best Italian food & wine you have to go at "i Tre Mercanti". Is just 5 minutes from St.Mark's square and has thousands of regional gourmet specialities from all over Italy, not to mention the hundreds of Italian wines. Price range is average but the quality is excellent. I strongly suggest a visit to treat yourself during your stay, to bring something home or for some tasty present.
They also ship and deliver all over the world and can send wine in the USA, staff is heplful and english speaking.

I was in Venice for visiting my aunt. I lodged in a hotel in the old town and when I went out for shopping I saw I Tre Mercanti. This is an alternative shop, because inside of it you can find everything that concerns Italian food at good prices, immersed in a nice environment. Among many palatable products, I chose a truffle sauce. I assayed it at home, with my sons: truffles succeeded!! I'm sure, I love Italian food!

Nicanora Suárez replied over 2 years agoI came in Italy mainly for try its gourmet specialities and I Tre Mercanti has been a very important stage for me! There I unveiled lots of alternative and healthy food, including Parmigiano. Parmigiano Reggiano is for true cheese lovers.. grate it.. break off a piece and add extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar over bread and enjoy ! or any way you like it. I suggest it to everyone of you.

Amazing gourmet food shop, thousands of regional italian products and hundreds of the best italian wines. You can't go to venice and miss this place, after all the art of the city this place collect all the masterpieces of italian food history.
