Linda Toivonen replied over 4 years agoI visited Rome in november with my girl friends for 4 days. We stayed at a hotel called Residenza Domiziano. It was located in the city center and we LOVED it. Would recomend it to everybody and any age. We booked the hotel from booking.com

Tay Feder replied over 4 years agoI recommend renting an apartment. I stayed at the Testaccio House which I rented for a great price through http://www.romeby.com/, also check out http://www.rentalinrome.com/. Be careful of people requesting a cleaning fee, ask before! Great off season rates.

Alef Arendsen replied over 4 years agoI stayed in Hotel Pullitzer, a nice design'ish hotel in the South part of town, close to the university area on Marconi. Affordable (€80,= per night) for the quality your getting, nice atmosphere. It's close to the Marconi subway station, which is a big plus too for Roma.

Katherine Keeffe replied over 4 years agoI'm lucky enough to live here but whenever I have visitors I usually suggest they rent an apartment through http://www.leisureinrome.com. They have some fantastic apartments for most budgets and offer a great service. Renting an apartment is a great way to truly experience the city and the Roman lifestyle.

Dan Birchall replied over 4 years agoI've stayed a couple times each at two of the Aventino hotels - Hotel Aventino and Villa San Pio - which are cozy, have nice decor, good food, and are walking distance from Circo Massimo and a lot of the other historic areas (and the Pyramide and Circo Massimo met.ro stops).

Brent Snook replied over 4 years agoChianti Hostel was pretty good - http://tinyurl.com/r2t6go
Pretty small and basic but great staff and a nice place to meet people. They do a home cooked meal a few times a week and it is awesome.

Robin Carswell replied over 3 years agoI stayed at the Two Ducks hostel - at 19 euro, it was overpriced. I moved around the corner to Alessandro Palace - at 33 euro, it was a bargain!

Julia Ivankova replied over 3 years agoI think a self catering apartment is much better than a hotel room, you have more space for less price and you can cook. Try Colosseumapts.com, all apartments are very centrally located and have a good price.

Paolo Paolo replied over 3 years agowww.comfortrome.com - Comfort Rome Vaticano Bed & Breakfast is superbly located close to the Vatican Museum and the St Peter's Basilica in Rome. This is a recently renovated apartment with two very spacious rooms for guests. Both rooms are very elegant, tastefully appointed and cozy. Each has an LCD TV set, private bathroom, hairdryer, alarm clock. The whole apartment is centrally air-conditioned and heated. It also has a terrace with table and chairs and a separate dining room, where Italian continental breakfast is served. Guests of Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B are free to come and go as they wish during their stay.
