Lucca, Italy + Add a trip

The place is pretty enough that just wandering about town is enough: Piazza San Michele, the amphitheatre etc. A walk around the walls (4km I think) is pleasant, and I strongly recommend going up the Guinigi Tower (the one with trees growing out of the top) for a birds-eye view.

Another option is to get around Lucca hilly wine roads visiting wine houses, country restaurants, cafes etc. Landscapes are great as well as food & wine. A lot cyclists around so must be good for that too. I prefer motorbiking
