Kochi is famed for sea-food. There are some fine eateries, especially if you like to try Kerala cuisine (yes, all cooked in coconut oil). The Grand Hotel and The International Hotel offer good, delicious Kerala meals. Taj Residency and The Meridien also offer good multi-cuisine. But the place to visit are the excellent restaurants in and around Fort Kochi, especially the restaurants at Casino Hotel, Malabar, Brunton Boatyard etc...

The thali is truly delicious and ask for the prawn chutney which comes alongwith it. The karimeen is highly recommended, in all formats.
