If you want a decent furnished apt near a beach in South Goa, check the blog below. They've got beautiful apts for as little as Rs.1000 per night. A good deal I would say. http://www.ashirwaadholidayaptsgoa.blogspot.com/

Although our name is Atlas Parasite, it has nothing to do with how we treat the world. We are not parasites in the literal sense of the word, as in we don’t suck the life out of the world. We are just feeding off as many worldly experiences as we can. So when it comes to traveling, we believe that we should not be hurtful to our temporary hosts.

This being said, we would like to promote the first “eco-friendly” place either of us have ever stayed in – Bhakti Kutir. We visited this place in Goa, India with a group of friends in October 2008 and we stayed for three nights.

Bhakti Kutir is a peaceful wilderness camp/resort with private huts built among the trees, which kind of makes you feel like you’re in The Swiss Family Robinson (a childhood favorite!). You can stay in one of 22 unique huts made out of natural resources – mostly bamboo, rice straw, and mud.

Stayed here for 10 days with team Photojojo for our January 2011 Workcation. We took over Little Siolim, a private home made from two 100-year-old restored Portuguese houses. Our own pool, live-in staff and cook, and Goa's beautiful beaches.

    Amazing.
