noopur raval replied over 2 years agoDharamsala is divided into Mcleodganj and lower Dharamsala. It is better to stay in Mcleodganj. There are a lot of small cafes near Dalai Lama's temple to eat. They are cheap. Around Rs 50-100. You can book a hotel with the best view at the government hotel which is near the market. It is called Hotel Bhagsu. Check the details on http://himachaltourism.gov.in/

Elisabeth Stangl replied over 2 years agoI've been staying in Kunga Hotel which is a place for many travelers. Rooms regular standard but shower with warm water. Really nice the terrace and reliable food there. I was there in Jan 2010 and it is recommendable to rent some heaters - be carefull with electricity and turn them off when sleeping. See if there are lectures from http://www.tarab-institute.org/gb/program.htm (usuallyonly in Jan). Was great experiance to study at Tibetian Medical School together with Westeners and Tibetians.
