As far as I saw, you had to pay for everything in Gurgaon. The Malls don't necessarily have internet connection (or ATMs!!!). I got very cheap internet access at Qutb Markets in Gurgaon DLF V.

Some braches of Coffee Day have free wifi, but it's patchy. If you don't have a computer, some hotel lobbies have a terminal but you'll be booted of it if you look as though you are not a guest. The lounge in Delhi airport has a computer that is said to be connected to the internet. WiFi access is the problem - and there are place around the train station that provide a connection, but you do so at your own risk.

Get yourself free Wifi access near CP in Delhi. Many places like CCD have free wifi access. Though you need to pay for everything in Delhi.
