Linda Nawrocki replied over 5 years agoBest Real Irish Pub
Go to the Celt on Talbot Street in City Centre. There is music every day and the working class - real Dublin - feeling is probably the most authentic in the city. Oh, and they pour a mean Guinness

Bernard Tyers replied over 5 years agoFor the best pints in Dublin
I won't bore you with the horrible tourist bars that have no real culture in them (each to their own).
The best bars for a nice pint of Guinness:
1. The Foggy Dew (Dame Street) 2. The Cobblestone (Stonybatter) 3. Walshes (Manor Street)
there are others, but these show real Dublin, and real Dublin people.

Stephen Foulger replied over 5 years agoNatural History Museum
Brilliantly tatty and old fashioned. It has not changed since the early 20th Century and is a real taste of how Museum’s used top be. I love it.

Vanessa O C replied over 4 years agoNational Gallery, Merrion Square
Beautiful building with lots of treasures - I particularly like the Irish rooms displaying the works of Yeats, Orpen, Osbourne, Lavery, Leech and many more. It's a nice sized gallery - not so big it's overwhelming, as so many galleries can be. Be sure to see the Caravaggio too! The staff are helpful and the cafe is a good spot for lunch. On weekends, just out side on Merrion Square, contemporary artists have their work for sale, which is worth a look (weather permitting, of course!)

pkdub lin replied over 4 years agoGet out of the big smoke to the extremities. Bray or Howth - the walk from Sutton to Howth via the coastal cliff path and the Bailey is a clear winner. give yourself 3-4 hours, bring a camera and wear good shoes.

John Donovan replied over 3 years agoA day in Dublin Zoo. The Zoo is the older than to London Zoo and is a great palce to spend a day especially if the weather is good. The revamped 'African Plains' space is worth the entry price alone. Its easy to get to on the bus or is a short walk from the LUAS stop 'Heuston Station'

Right in the city centre which is great for meeting friends before or after. Can't recommend this place enough, I was really impressed.
