It depends on how nice a lunch place you're after. The Liberty Grill on Washington Street is inexpensive; you can get eggs benedict for €7.95. The Berries on MacCurtain Street is cheap, fresh and very cheerful. Seating is on stools but they do lovely wraps and the most famous smoothies in Cork. The Shelbourne opposite on MacCurtain Street is excellent value for a pub lunch - mostly soups, sandwiches and salads with the prerequisite chips.
