Georges Mayrink replied over 3 years agoI've spent quite some time in Jakarta but, unfortunately, did not have much of a chance to wander around. I found free wireless internet access in some Starbucks shops (not sure whether it's valid for all shops; in Bangkok, wireless access is available for a fee), some restaurants like the Penang Bistro (for patrons, of course) and some hotel lobbies.

daniel mackinlay replied over 3 years agoUnlike most indonesian cities, the internet is everywhere in Jakarta and usually reasonably fast- especially the nightlife/ and bule (anglo) neighbourhoods like Kemang, but really, anywhere rich, which is a lot of the city. just ask some young fashionista about "wifi" and you're done.

Natalie Djuantoro replied over 2 years agoyou can enjoy internet connection by WiFi on Starbuck coffee, J-Co Donuts, Dunkin Donuts, and some coffee shops. also on several hotel lobby, such as Ciputra Hotel, Shangri-La, etc depends on which part of Jakarta you stay.
If you stay at North Jakarta, you can go to Kelapa Gading, and found La Piazza. if you stay at West Jakarta, you can go to Taman Anggrek, there you can find Starbuck Coffee, Dunkin Donuts, JCo Donuts, or you can stay at Ciputra Hotel, Twin Plaza Hotel, or Menara Peninsula Hotel.
In South Jakarta, many places that provide internet connection such like Kemang or if you go to Jakarta Pusat, you can go to Plaza Semanggi, there's a free wi-fi on food court
