Lidia JOBBAGY Palatinus replied about 1 year agoGo on to the facebook page of Pecs cultural city of 2010 and you may find many many programms, as far as I know, it is in english. Quite a small town, compare to other city`s but there are a couple of must see-

Gábor Kmetykó replied about 1 year agoOverlooking the town, you can get wonderful views of the surrounding Mecsek mountain region. Take the elevator to the restaurant level (operator only). It seems the wind is always strong up there though. Haven't tried the restaurant yet.

Gábor Kmetykó replied about 1 year agoThe Djami was built during the Turk reign over Hungary, in 1543-1546. Later it was converted to a Christain church, but architecturally it is still beautiful (minus the modern add-ons).

Gábor Kmetykó replied about 1 year agoBurial chambers, chapels and a mausoleum from the 4th century. They built a pathway leading you along the necropolis, but a knowledgeable tourist guide is a must to truly enjoy all the details.
