Fantastic trainers which are impossible to get outside Hungary. Vintage brand used by much of Eastern Europe in the second half of the 20th century.

Pizza joint with a Red influence. Good pizza, good beer, chicken wire between the booths, and Lenin on the walls.

Kiado Kocsma Cafe - meeting point of the messenger-scene.
Serving huge portions of good food and have a nice mixed
group of coustomers. Check the bikes in front of the pub.
How many places will do GF Weiner-Schnitzel and fried cheese? You order off the main menu, most things are marked with a "GF" and they will make the necessary changes. It's great!
www.pocoloco.huYummy, it is not so bad in Budapest, even "Veggies" can have their 5 minutes with carrot cake and other healthy stuff ;)

Iguana is an awesome Mexican restaurant in Pest, close to the parliament. The place is beautifully decorated, serves incredible food and is very popular. Highly recommended.
Not much options there for vegetarians if eating outside. The Pizza Hut has veg. pizzas which is just about the only decent option that I found. There's a salad bar near Vaci ut. and they advertise by handing out flyers near Deak Ferenc ter. but it sucks so wouldn't recommend going there.
