    Get some clothes!

Go see my boy Anthony at Empire International Tailors. It's near Near the Royal Garden Hotel and a quick walk from The Shearton. Once he gets your size, you can order on email and get things shipped to you.

Shop No-6, Ground Floor, Houston Centre 63 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong

    Bars

On the bar front - it really depends what you're looking for. My favourites are:

Le Jardin in Lan Kwai Fong - nicely hidden above the outdoor restaurants of Rat Alley. Le Jardin seems to have many personalities - from 'after work' drinks place to 'glam pre-club' drinks.

Bar 1911 on Staunton St, Soho - just has a great vibe, not really glamorous or cool, just a laid back place for people who want to chat & drink.

McSorley's on Elgin St, Soho - identikit Irish pub, but the service is great, the food is cheap (& good - the burgers are the best in Soho) and it's got lots of big screens to watch the game.

    Gough Street

Just off of Hollywood Road is a little street that was once home to old print shops. It now has a few serious restaurants (I liked Palate), some good design shops, a passable gay bar, and no shortage of atmosphere.

Amazing Skyline View of Hong Kong Island

Must check out the waterfront skyline view of Hong Kong island. You do so from the Kowloon side in the district (area) called Tsim Sa Tsui (TST).

Every evening the Hong Kong government held a laser light show at 20:03 - 20:16.

Must see - Vivienne Westwood Exhibition (ends 31 Jan 2009)

    Utterly inspiring!

Just alight at Taikoo MTR Station (Hong Kong Island) and ask the concierge desk at Taikoo Plaza for directions. It's at Cornwall House - a 10-min walk from Taikoo Plaza.

Having been raised in America, I have a thing for seeing anything that’s being touted as “world’s biggest [insert object here].” So when I was in Hong Kong, I just had to go see the Tian Tan Buddha, aka the Po Lin Buddha (it is part of the Po Lin monastery), aka…The Big Buddha! It’s the world’s biggest outdoor bronze seated Buddha. That’s a bit specific, but not more so than the world’s biggest ball of twine, for example.

When I have visitors in HK, we'll usually hop on the Star Ferry at Central and take it across for the light show. Then probably grab a bite at Chungking Mansions. Fun first night in HK.

if you wanna go to shop you can go to the ladies market in mongkok, but not also ladies market they had some more shop there. but dont easily believe on the price they given on the street, they're goin to give you a lot more higher than the normal price since ure a tourist, so just bargain with em and no need to be scare if they're about to angry or something, thats just they way they are
