Cathy Ma replied over 2 years agoIf you can take hardcore local Chinese cuisine (not the fancy Western style food):
The Dim Sum at the Canton Room at Luk Kwok hotel is fantastic (slightly up the range about HK$200 per person) http://www.lukkwokhotel.com/food_baverage_2.php Authentic, they sometimes don't even have English menu, but you will survive with the assorted Dim Sum selection.
Hong Kong 'east' end - like Shoreditch but without the hip people http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shau_Kei_Wan Shau Kei Wan - find a place that sells 'fish ball noodle' for a Hong Kong tenner. Comes with white noodle (made from rice called 'Ho Fan' in Chinese). Local would stare at you if you are the only foreigner saying the word 'ho fan' but that's crack'n funny. and YUMMY.
Oh man, I miss home.
