okyrhoe replied over 3 years agoThe museum has a counter to the right where you can find pamphlets in English published by the American School of Classical Studies (which isresponsible for the site's excavations). These brochures are informative and useful to read as you wander around the extensive grounds of the Agora. If you are looking for Socrates's prison, you will find the location described precisely in the publication "Socrates in the Agora". I also recommend "Gods and Heroes in the Ancient Agora", "Life, death, and litigation in the Athenian Agora", "The Athenian Agora: a short guide", and "Graffiti in the Athenian Agora."
Transport: Monastiraki, Thissio; enter Agora from Polygnotou (underground rail)
