Jim Hughes replied over 3 years agoBirdies restaurant in Harbour Street, always has an interesting lunchtime menu, not super-cheap, but not Oyster House style eye-watering prices either.
Wheelers in the High Street, great for oysters, crab sandwiches and the like, eat them perched the counter or take away.
Tea and Times in the High Street, ideal for that late weekend breakfast/brunch.

Kate Towey replied over 3 years agoWheelers is great to get a take away sandwich which you can then go and eat on the beach. Bring a blanket with you!
There is also a cheese shop called The Cheese Box on Harbour Street. Sometimes we buy lots of pieces of cheese, buy a baguette from one of the news agent type stores and go sit and make DIY sandwiches to accompany a glass of local beer we buy from The Old Neptune.
