Greg Wiley replied over 3 years agoIf you like shopping then the Harlequin shopping mall is the place to go. It is located in Watford town centre so is also close to a lot of restaurants and bars along Watford High Street.
Watford has a great park called Cassiobury Park. There is a lot of space to play, walk the dog, picnic or just stroll. There are two playgrounds with one being close to the Cha Cha Cha cafe which does a nice hot chocolate for those brisk sunny days.
Cassiobury Park also backs onto the Grand Union Canal along whose tow-path you can walk/cycle towards either Rickmansworth (downstream) or Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted (upstream) and beyond the canal is Whippendell Wood that is lovely in spring when the bluebells are out. It is also one of the locations used in the Star Wars film, The Phantom Menace.
Finally, if you're into golf then there are several golf courses in and around Watford, most notably is The Grove Hotel & Golf Club.
