If the weather is fine - get down the Gower! Plenty of beaches to roam and things to see. Walk on Three Cliffs Bay, the UK's finest, or plan to visit Worm's Head. Take a walk to Pennard Castle or Arthur's Stone.

If you don't want to travel so far then stroll along the sea front at Mumbles and climb the hill to Oystermouth Castle or amble out to the end of the pier where the climax of Twin Town was filmed - don't forget to try Joe's ice cream on the way.

If you feel energetic then Rhosili, Langland or Oxwich are the beaches to get surfing. Afan Argoed near Port Talbot is the place to dust off your mountain bike. The recently revamped leisure centre LC2 is a favourite with kids or take them to feed the ducks in Brynmill Park.

If conditions are against you then take in the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery or the Dylan Thomas Centre.

Kids will enjoy the Waterfront Museum or possibly Plantasia in Parc Tawe.
