Oliver Koch replied over 3 years agoTake a walk through Jericho, then head to the river. On the opposite bank is a pub / restaurant called The Perch (http://www.the-perch.co.uk/) which is fabulous - open fire, leather sofas, friendly staff, good food. You can follow the river up north. After about 2 miles you get to Wolvercote where you find another pub / restaurant called the The Trout Inn (www.thetroutoxford.co.uk). It's next to a lock and in summer is a brilliant place to sit outside. If you are tired of walking busses will take you back into Oxford.

Where's good to eat in Oxford?

Dawn Smith replied over 2 years agoWe lived in Wolvercote for four years and spent a great deal of time at the Trout Inn. It is a very nice Inn in a beautiful setting. Our daughter liked to feed the fish in the lock and loved the Peacocks in the garden. She was very young and called the Inn the Peacocks.
