Holly Golightly replied over 2 years agoFarm shop with various local goodies. PYO strawberries and sunflowers. Café with impressive looking cakes.
Small selection of animals for the kids to coo at, including a pair of wallabies. They have managed to have a baby wallaby (aw!). There’s a picture of the mother and joey in the café with the ambiguous caption “Mother with joey. Father is out of the picture.” Does this mean he is an absentee father? Has he managed to stowaway back to Australia? Was he not ready for fatherhood and he’s run off with another wallaby-ess (implausible, surely there are not that many wallabies in northern Cornwall)? Or is there a more sinister explanation - was he snatched by a fox with a taste for exotic meat?
There is also a good sized children’s playground. The zip wire is wasted on the kids, elbow them aside and have a ride yourself – looks tame until you find yourself accelerating towards the tyre brakes at the end of the wire. Eek!
