Markets? Often found around Monument for local produce, or Grainger Market for a mix of everything from cigarettes to tat, books, good fishmongers and butchers

On the weekends, there is a bric-a-brack and general weird stuff market at the Tynemouth Metro Station. Five minutes walk from the coast, situated in a lovely Victorian station.
