Where's good to stay in London?

  I've stayed here once, for two nights. It was such a memorable experience. The staff are what every hotel's staff should aspire to be. And while some of the older rooms are a little chintzy, the sense of space and grandeur makes up for it. We had a suite which was enormous - really enormous. To be greeted by name when you walk into the entrance of Claridge's by their doormen is something truly special. The most perfect blow-out treat: a room at the inn, dinner at Gordon Ramsay (fab, despite being a bit obvious and despite the lecherous waiter who pestered me for my email address and number) and then getting drunk in the bar afterwards on beautifully poured G&Ts.
