Where's good to eat in London?

  Some great suggestions but maybe a little too many white tablecloths? Go where Londoners go, like the fabulous gastropub The Eagle, 159 Farringdon Road, EC1R 3AL. OK so the seats outside are a bit close to the busy traffic, but the food (Spanish inspired modern european/british) is tasty - and you can drink some real ale while you're at it.
