Andrew Spong replied about 1 year agoLittlehampton is all about the sea. If you're visiting by train, head to the West Beach Cafe for breakfast and enjoy the isolation of Climping beach. Head back across the river and strike out in an easterly direction for a glorious walk along the beach to Rustington. When you hit the greensward, carry on until you can go no further (about a 30 minute amble) and you'll probably find it's lunchtime. That's lucky, as you'll be in the vicinity of the Seaview pub in East Preston. Dive in! Perhaps you'll press on, or crash on the beach afterwards but if you're planning on retracing your steps, stop off at the New Inn (Norfolk Road) for a pint of Arundel Gold on the way back to the station and consider an early supper at the Fish Factory (East Street). Littlehampton doesn't have the best rep in the world, but odds on you'll meet some folk who'll overturn your preconceptions about the place.
