Inspirational gardens with a wonderful range of different gardening styles - from a Japanese inspired rock garden through cottage and rose gardens to wildernesses and woodlands. But my favourite is the fabulous fruit and vegetable garden - who wouldn't want to grow their own after seeing it? There is a lovely tea room at the old house, tiny but very good cream teas. If you want something savoury you need to use the main restaurant which does proper lunches. The shop and plant centre can be accessed without paying to get into the gardens.
