Head to the Glasgow School of Art. Ask for 'The Run', climb to the top floor and then enjoy one of the greatest city views I can think of.

The Burrell Collection in Pollok Country Park is a great day out -- it's a huge art and antiquity collection situated in the middle of a huge forest park.
