Also try Café Hula, opposite the Theatre Royal at 321 Hope Street (great sandwiches, homemade burgers and stews, salady things, good coffee), and Where The Monkey Sleeps, 182 West Regent Street (bagels ranging from traditional through unusual, and onwards to 'batshit crazy').

On weekdays, Ichiban on Queen street does a great 2-course lunch for around six pounds. Any other time you can totally stuff yourself for about a tenner. Gorgeous Japanese food.

try www.5pm.co.uk there are usually some great offers for glasgow city centre, and surrounding areas such as west end. Most of the restaurants listed offer deals for lunch and dinner.
